This story has been told for over one thousand years. It has something useful to say to people who sell for a living.
Truth, naked and cold, had been turned away from every door in the village. Her nakedness frightened the people. When Story found her she was huddled in the corner shivering and hungry. Taking pity on her, Story gathered her up and took her home. There she wrapped her cloak around Truth, warmed her and sent her out again. Wrapped in the cloak of Story, Truth knocked again at the villager’s doors and was readily welcomed in the people’s houses. They invited her to eat at their table and warm herself by their fire.
